Peace Lily

We have run out of stock for this item.

Peace Lillies are in fact not Lillies at all, they’re a member of the Araceae family. The flowers look very similar to those of the Calla Lily that belongs to the same family, which is where they took their name from.

They’re a popular indoor plant not only due to their crisp white flower, but also for the fact that they don’t require a lot of looking after. NASA also found them to be one of the best air purifying houseplants you can buy.

Commonly known as: Peace Lily, Peace Plant, White sails

Horticultural Name: Spathiphyllum.

Origin: Tropical rain forests of Colombia and Venezuela.

Nursery Pot Size(s): 15cm

Current Height: Approx 50cm

Ultimate Height: Up to 100cm

Light: Happy in lots of conditions, although they prefer a shady spot away from direct sunlight.

Watering: Really easy to look after - just add half a cup of water to the soil once or twice a week from spring to autumn - and once a fortnight in late autumn/winter (if the top 2cm of soil is dry to the touch, they need a little water usually) - as with most indoor plants, don’t over-water (they hate that more than under-watering!)

Temperature: They like consistent temperatures, so do not put them next to open windows or directly above radiators.

Additional Info: One of the top air purifying plants. Slightly toxic if consumed.

‘Maya Planter’ sold separately.
