Biochar is a type of charcoal that is made by pyrolysis, which is when an organic matter like wood chips is heated in the absence of oxygen.

This absence also prevents biochar from degrading, making it a permanent solution to soil improvement. 

Pyrolysis also locks in carbon, taking it from the atmosphere and burying it underground for hundreds of years.

This lawn improver is also enriched with mycorrhizal bacteria and minerals that promote strong root growth, perfect for use when prepping the ground for new lawns or forking in to rejuvenate existing ones.
