Landscape Gardener Needed!

Full time position

We need an extra pair of hands to join our garden maintenance team. We look after the gardens of several show homes and private estates throughout Essex and Hertfordshire. Duties will include general garden landscaping, maintenance of shrubs and lawn care among other ad hoc tasks.

You will be working mostly on-site as part of our team with the opportunity to progress to self-management. The ideal candidate will be fit, healthy and not shy of getting their hands dirty in any weather. Some horticultural knowledge is desired.

Note: This is not an advertisement for work at our garden centre in Walthamstow.

Essential:

  • Full UK driving license with experience driving vans
  • Minimum of one year in garden landscaping/maintenance
  • English speaking
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • A basic knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in garden maintenance operation standard horticultural practices
  • Physical aptitude to working outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions - physical demands include lifting and carrying, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, kneeling and repetitive motion
  • Able to work autonomously
  • High standards of work, attention to detail, ethical conduct, including timekeeping and attendance

Desirable:

  • Self-employed
  • Enthusiastic about horticulture
  • Local to Essex or Hertfordshire with own van or local to Walthamstow

Salary is dependent upon experience
