Bento - A japanese style packed lunch consisting of partitioned foods such as rice, pickled or cooked vegetables, sashimi or cooked meat. It's a single portion often kept in a hand-crafted box.
The Oval version of Niwaki's Bento Box is perfect for Japanese style lunches, they even suggest trying out 'hinomaru bento, a single umeboshi (sour plum) atop a bed of rice, representing the Japanese flag'. Though you can use it for anything you'd like.
Made from anodised aluminium, it's a great eco-friendly alternative to the plastic lunch box.
They're not suitable for use in the microwave or oven and it's best if you keep them away from the dishwasher.
