A lovely triple layered, hand forged and rust resistant SLD steel blade on the end of a heat-treated, moisture and bacteria resistant chestnut handle. 

Imported from the third generation knife makers in Sanjo, Japan. They make a great gift.

The Deba is a heavy knife, designed to help filet and butcher whole fish, but can be used on any meat that has small bones. The spine of the knife tapers along the length, with a thinner tip enabling the user to feel when it's touching a bone or not. This knife has a 153mm blade length.

Avoid using with large bones.
